Monitors are so expensive so was really pleased when this was on offer. Was a bit worried as it had some bad reviews. It’s great if you don’t need to use your phone or chosen device for anything else, so I’d recommend setting it up on an old device which you can they keep on when needed. Overall it is a great camera. Picture quality, sound, talkback, nigh vision all brilliant quality. The app you can download and set up really quickly. You can take pictures and zoom. It does try to push the paid version for added extras, but haven’t needed it at all. Only issue really is it can sometimes take a couple of minutes for the camera to connect. But for the price, it is a great option which doesn’t compromise on everything you need. If you are planning on using a monitor a lot, I would recommend buying this camera with a monitor.

With a Motorola MBP853 Connect Wi-Fi HD Video Baby Monitor and a second child arriving we wanted an additional camera to monitor with our base unit, we purchased this accordingly. Setup was straightforward and all fine until it started dropping the wifi connection, this camera was placed in the exact same location as our other one so know there are no issues with wifi signal. To add insult to injury each time it drops connection not only does it send a loud shrill noise to the base unit but also a noise on the camera itself just to wake your child too to let them know that there is an issue, what a stupid design, I'd love to have been in the design meeting where someone thought, hey lets wake both the baby and parents when there's an issue with the camera!

It may not be the quickest of cameras to pan, and the infrared doesn’t capture motion very well but these work well for me and they do at least pan where most cameras I looked at were static.I’ve bought a few of these now for watching the dogs.
