The opening may initially be irritating: A very citrusy, mandarin-dominated opening suggests that this is a classic summer fragrance. But this impression is misleading, as the freshness fades surprisingly quickly and is overshadowed by a tart nutmeg note. That is precisely what ultimately makes Armani Code a fragrance that, contrary to its fragrance pyramid, is not a summer scent. Instead, it reveals itself as a reliable everyday fragrance that works in every season, with the exception of summer and late spring. It is less suitable for special occasions, but it does not need to be. Its strength lies precisely in being an uncomplicated companion for daily wear, understated and versatile. Conclusion: A solid, tart-spicy everyday fragrance that quickly leaves its citrusy opening behind and proves itself above all outside the warmer seasons as a faithful companion.

The Armani Code Parfum is one of my favorite fragrances from Armani. It is a fresh-sweet scent that comes from bergamot and iris. The clary sage with the bergamot leaves gives the fragrance green vibes. Later, it becomes sweeter with tonka bean and cedarwood, but in a masculine kind of sweet. I tested this fragrance in the perfumery, and I find it exudes elegance, freshness, and is perfect for a summer scent. For me, a successful fragrance from Armani.
