I am obsessed with this fragrance and switched to it after years of wearing Patou 1000. It is completely unique and, while some say the rose is "granny" I find it heady and sexy. Other fragrances have been longer lasting but none more beautiful for me. It smells great on me and I won't change now. Serge Lutens is a master parfumer. His fragrances are complex and wonderful.

If you enjoy sweetened rose fragrances, then you might want to give this a try. However, I think rose already has a natural sweetness, and additional sweetness is unnecessary. Personally, I wouldn't mind honeyed roses, but the sour and tangy notes in this fragrance are off-putting to me. This scent is reminiscent of a wine-like red rose, which isn't how I usually prefer my roses done.

smells very good. super close to roses, like almost literally smelling a rose. my only issue is that this house tends to not hold up very well over time

One of the loveliest rose perfumes I've encountered. La Fille de Berlin mingles a realistic, but rich, rose with a dark, enigmatic base that feels like classic Sheldrake in its syrupy and fruity tones. It's simple but immaculate and thankfully avoids the rubbery/jammy tones that so often embalm heavier rose notes.

The perfume smells very strong of powdery roses, a bit overwhelming in my opinion. It is more of a mature scent, but is formulated well. It wasn't a good fit for me though
