Item duly arrived and all was ok until I tried to operate it. Unfortunately it’s more for the professional than the simple soul I am! So returned it for a refund which was reimbursed.

iPhone 11 Pro Max is just a bit too big I feel for this gimbal . The phone feels a bit long and wide. Works great with the smaller phones . Great piece of kit apart from that .

Bought after a very extensive search and review. And am having a great time with the simple functionality and ease to use. Have elevated my videos even as a beginner videographer. Where I work as AV manager at a casino. I am having my team also learn and this tool will help us bring down the amount of equipment carried. And with the filmic Pro makes transfer of 4k files a breeze to Mac.

I ordered both the Smooth-4 and the DJI Osmos Mobile 2 for comparison. I sold the Osmos. Not that it's a bad smartphone gimbal. It's just that the Smooth-4 works better all around. It is better thought out. And having the wheel on it gives more functionality when needed. I would argue that the wheel is not really needed because there is not a lot of focus/zoom pulling that can be done on a smartphone. However, when you might need it, it's there. And as smartphone cameras become more capable in the future, you never know! The quality of the gimbal is as good or better than the Osmos. I think it's a bit better. The most important reason I kept the Smooth-4 is because the pan/tilt follow mode is so much easier and intuitive to use than the Osmos. In my opinion. It just gives better results. And following, panning, and tilting is what it's all about.
