I don't know if it is defective or it is meant to be like that. after 6 hours with HP technician doing updates and plugs. this finally work without faulty message that is not bid enough. and the loudness improved a lot. it went from an airplane to a Vacuum. I don't know you, but I cannot work with a blender buzzing next to my ears.

Nice small footprint, easy connectivity. Good looking formfactor compared to normal blocky docks. Initial usage was a bit clunky with three external monitors. Sometimes one of the monitors would not receive signal, it could be seen within windows but it would not receive any video output, but it seems that the latest firmware has resolved that issue. Since last firmware update that issue has not presented itself again.

I ordered a top of the line ZBook laptop and two port replicators. Both the original ZBook and a replacement were both bad. I am waiting on HP to ship me a third. I haven't even been able to connect the laptop to the port replicator because I've been too busy with hardware troubleshooting and dealing with exchanges via HP's worst-in-class customer support.

This is an incredible dock. TB4 and plenty of power. It just works. Really brought my Omen 14 to life.
