Dvd Amadeus

One word: Brilliant! It is in my top 10...do I need to say more? You have to watch it, that is the only way you can make up your mind! Forget about the reviews, go and experience this movie yourself! My son watched it for the first time when he was 10 ( 4 years ago) and guess what he did after we watched it together? He went to internet to learn more about Mozart and his biography. He fell in love with Amadeus! Milos Forman inspired him! I think that tells you a lot about the value of this film. In Amadeus, the cinematography, scenography, costumes, plot, etc, are perfect! I couldn't recommend it more!

This wonderful piece of historical-fiction brings to the table a variety of entertainment. Milo

I can't say anything bad about it, Movie, Picture and Sound are terrific. I wish more movies were so beautifully shot with such crispy clear sound. Overall 5*. Bare in mind it's a 3 Hours Movie so double the joy ;-) it's like "pay one for two" deal.

Somehow I just didn't imagine Mozart to be like this. I pictured him to be more the, uh, 'classy' kind, as one would say. In this movie he seemed more like a goofy drunkard with a talent for music. Not to mention that they never exaggerated the point where he expressed himself as 'different' and 'outstanding' in the act of music (a.k.a. the point where he became famous). Nonetheless, it was a decent movie and I don't regret watching it -- the ending took me by surprise.

Having waited this long to watch it I have to admit that I am somewhat disappointed. It did not woe me at all. It is a long long costume drama about a guy with an annoying laugh and an obvious talent for music.
