love the great John Carpenter 90s classic Escape from LA starring kurt russell it is a great sequel to the great 80s classic Escape From New York and it looks great and very clear on blu ray in HD love it worth getting for any fan

Seré muy breve, ya sé que esta no es de las mejores películas de Carpenter, pero quería salir de lo que este director había hecho más allá del género de terror. ¿Porqué 'Escape from LA'? Muy fácil. En primer lugar, no sabía que esta era una secuela de 'Escape from NY' y en segundo lugar, al salir Steve Buscemi (sí, mi actor preferido) era carne de cañón para ser visionada. No es mala, para mí tiene un guión competente para lo que es una pura serie B y en la dirección, es Carpenter amigos. Pero si que en general es flojita y digamos que una película más. Es más de lo mismo que se hacía en la época. Esta divertida, mola ver a Kurt Russell y poco más. Aún así por ver a Buscemi y más cine de este genio estoy contento de haber visto. Dejar claro, que en ningún momento me aburrí o se me hizo pesada, todo lo contrario. Las duraciones de los trabajos de Carpenter, me gustan mucho. Buena peli.

I have no problem declaring that I may be the world's biggest fan of Escape From New York and a huge John Carpenter fan. But, what the HELL was he thinking when he made this?!? It is basically a rehashed, rotten remake. Almost every scene in LA is a rip-off of one in NY, but 99% worse. Horrible villain, lousy special effects, poor acting (except for Kurt) and a terrible soundtrack highlight this atrocity. The Blu-ray picture is pretty good and audio is involving. I would have loved to have a classic Carpenter/Russell commentary track to hear their experiences in the making of this film, but I get the feeling both of them want to get this turd out of their respective memories.

Fun movie, highlighted by getting to see Kurt Russell play SNAKE PLISKEN again. Just like the original, it has a mix of good special FX and cheesy special FX on display and a whole bunch of wacky characters mixed up in Snake's latest adventure. Not as good as the original but still fun nonetheless. Would love to see Russell back in a 3rd one. Picture Quality: The pic quality is awesome on this release! It really is fair to say it's a 4.3 out of 5. They really gave it a beautiful High Def transfer with bright colors and sharp details. Audio: John Carpenter & Shirley Walker's score for this movie is teriffic and is on full display here in losless audio form. The score is definitely part of the film's charm. Audio is clear and well balanced. The only extra to be found is a TRAILER for the film. Good to see again, but would have liked some more bonus features.
