Lots of capacity, easy to use. Being a bit noisy is the only con, but that’s not a big deal.

Very fast drive transfers as advertised. Easy to setup for my mid-2019 MacBook Pro (MBP). It will not run my 5K display via the additional Thunderbolt 3 connector, so I still need to connect my LG monitor and this drive to the MBP separately so it will not work as a hub for me. Owner manual information is extremely sparse! It is a little noisy due to the fan. Has a weird, rather large blue light that does not come on if only powered up--the drive must be mounted on MBP for it to come on. It does not adequately power a MBP so you will need to continue to use a MBK charger to keep the battery from discharging. I like the drive, but usually Lacie drives do not have the additional issues.

Since this was installed I intermittently have gotten message that there is a defective fan 0. Then it will say fan 0 check pass. Occasionally it will say missing fan 0. Registered the product and attempted to get phone support. Got a claim number and instructions to call the number provided 855 588-8520 to get live support. However the number connects connects and then never rings. If I can not get this resolved the product is going back. My data is my entire business! Not feeling good about this product!

I am Linux O/S user, everything indicated Windows or Mac O/S, I set it up, tried encrypting one drive and UN-encrypting drive, mixed data and things to equal 2.2TB, transfer, smooth and sweet so far, I set up the drives for Windows as well and installed the software needed. Instructions to make the drives usable are good. I have 1BIG gripe with LaCie, I use Linux Mint and Deepin and the the LaCie was easier to set up is fast with mixed data transfer, yet LaCie does not seem to promote the drive for use by Linux O/S users? Build is solid, ran for 72Hrs and no heat build up, cooling fans do a good job, ran HD Smart Data self test after 72hr run. A.OK!

I had an initial with the interface to my 2016 iMac Pro but Lacie called me and helped my figure it out. If you have a Thunderbolt 2 machine, you will need to buy a Thunderbolt 2 to Thunderbolt 3 adapter ($50) and you will need a Thunderbolt 2 cable to make it work. But now that that the 2bit 20TB Raid box is working, it is doing so without issue. I would buy this again at this point.
