Epiphone ES-335 Vintage Sunburst

Wasn't overly impressed on unpacking as it was not that well secured in the box very well, however, all was good and the finish immaculate even though it reminded me of my grandads Singer Vogue (1960's car in that maroon paint), I really like it now though. First play was a bit lacklustre though there was a trace of that "sound" that I bought it for, keeping in mind that it sounds better than it's price point. I love the neck and fretboard , so effortless to play, it's flatter than the Fender/Squire guitars which I find arkward. The set up wasn't bad but a re string with Roto Yellows and slight adjustments and this guitar is really quite amazing, huge improvement and I'm back in 1967!!! Not sure about saving up for the Gibson 335 now I'm that impressed. Can't comment on the durability at this time but all seems okay and very well made

Excellent guitar, incredibly reasonably priced, received in perfect condition, and already well set up. Plays like a dream. I could spend about five times the money for the Gibson, which is fractionally better it seems, but why???

Arrived after a short delay by the carrier, but everything went well communications wise. Guitar good straight out of the box, tuned it checked it over and left it on a stand for a couple of days to acclimatise. Neck, bridge and nut spot on, string height a little high for me but taking the bridge down 2 or 3 mm and then up maybe .5 on the fat strings side gave no buzz and a very slinky action. Will put new strings on probably Ernie’s or Elixirs in a week or so and dress a few fret ends up by the neck joint , otherwise it’s good to go. Epiphone have upped their game on these, plays really nicely and the tones are really nice across the range.

Beautiful guitar, far better than I am (at the moment!). Cannot fault the price and service from Guitar Guitar either.

I was disappointed with the delivery from DHL. I was expecting a specified delivery ( a Saturday 7th June) and after two days nothing had arrived so tracked the parcel on the DHL tracker and it just had a message saying DELAYED. I emailed them for an explanation but got no reply. So I called the Helpline on Wednesday 11th June and was told the parcel was in their warehouse and would be delivered on Thursday 12th June ? However it arrived that afternoon Wednesday 11th at 3:30pm. Everything was fine the guitar is a beauty and set up nice and playable out of the box so perfect product .... just didn't need the hassle ... regards Nick
