Husqvarna 545FR Busksågepakke

I purchased this unit almost 2 years ago and it is back in the shop for the second time for carb problems/ running rough after 15 or 20 minutes of operation. I do not use this as a commercial product and may only have 20 hours use on the machine. The weight is heavy but I am aware that is the price you pay for a powerful machine. My other complaint is there is no way to adjust this properly to fit comfortably being 6'1 feet tall. I am leaning over using this machine so back pain comes fast. The shaft is apparently too short and I was told by my dealer the Stihl shaft is approx 5 inches longer and would be a better fit. So my fault for not trying on for size, just be aware. Also, I feel the dealer should outfit you prior to purchase to insure proper fitting. So my warranty is running out soon and the brush cutter is in the shop with unknown issues. Will be looking for something else soon. I have other Husqvarna equipment that has faired rather well, but this is a major disappointment.

I have used this brush cutter with Renegade 8" brush blades for well over 200 hours and it is a workhorse. I regularly cut up to 4" diameter trees. I had one issue with it bogging down which turned out to be a fouled up spark arrestor on the muffler. I believe it was caused by using an off brand 2cycle oil. I went back to Husqvarna oil and things have been fine since. I've had this machine for almost 5 years and it always starts on the second pull. If Husqvarna ever makes an even more powerful brush cutter, I'll be in line to buy it.

This is my third Husquvarna brush cutter that I have owned over the last 20 years. All of them have been bought in and used in Sweden. Now that I am retired, we live at our house in Sweden 6 months of the year. We are surrounded by a beautiful forrest that continually encroaches on our property. We need to cut things back. I work these brushcutters hard and am pleased with the results. I use saw tool and the cutter most of the tieme. It looks like the negative ratings may be due to lack of experience and/or the wrong expectations. Every Huskvarna genertation gets better and better. I am on the third generation. I recommend that you purchase the heaviest duty that you can afford. The Husqvarna dealer in Sweden calls my model the "Grim Reaper".

Bought this about 5 years ago for about 5 times. Worked great. Drained it, cleaned it and went to run it this year and could not get it started. Pulled the card and it was spotless. Plug was perfect. Checked for spark and got good spark. All new fuel. Even put in some starter fluid in the intake. Not even a simple sputter. Replaced the ignition coil and sparkplug just in case. Still nothing. Even went so far as trying to start with a drill attachment instead of the recoil cord. No place nearby that I can take it in, original store closed after Covid. I really like it when it was running. The blade is like new and I have other spare blades. Wondering if they would fit the battery operated one and how good that one would work on small trees. Got a lot of money invested into this machine from original price, blades, and ignition coil.
