This is the first bottle i got from Mugler, haven't ever really been trying them out they didnt seem so interesting for untill i came upon this perfume in my facebook group for perfumes and i got this one for 25€ around 70/100 and when it came i didnt really expect much but first time spraying it (it was a full on blind buy) i was amazed by the scent, its really fresh clean watery smell and it projects very good, been wearing it in the winter to and it could project a lot. Right now probably one of my favorite scents for summer no joke.

I have been using Alien Man for a few years now, but rarely and only very sparingly. This has two reasons. 1. it is quite strong and 2. it alternates between leathery and woody-indefinably artificial, which doesn't always suit cooler days, but certainly not in summer. I would never dream of describing this scent as "fart" or in any other derogatory way. To me, it is just very leathery-woody-artificial, with one or the other facet dominating. Probably depending on the temperature or humidity.

The opening is a smooth and somewhat vegetal mix of herbs with anise flavours mixed in. A touch of dill is preset too, but only very faintly on me. The drydown adds woodsy elements, beechwood a touch with on overall rather nonspecific character; a smooth wood but a tad dull. At times I get weakly spicy undertones. A soft suede appears, but with hardly any smokiness I can detect. The base is characterised by ambery white musks, which are the usual suspects in their sweetish blandness; glimpses of a weak synthetic vanilla also do not do a lot to improve this phase of the development. I get moderate sillage, good projection, and eight hours of longevity on my skin. The opening is this autumnal scent is quite unusual and interesting, and not without some originality it the concept. Unfortunately, most notes are not very vivid, and the second half is rather bland. Not bad, but quite mundane. 2.75/5
