Lalique Encre Noire Men Sport Edt 100ml

Forget the forest, to me it smells like the contents of a pencil sharpener, enveloped in a cloud of smoke. Slightly exaggerated, I can also easily understand the association with the forest. But the fragrance actually takes me back more to primary school, when sharpening a pencil. It starts off rather alcoholic, not sharp, but musty. That is what an alcoholic smells like. Then it becomes spicy. I actually like it briefly at this point, until it ultimately becomes too earthy and gloomy for me. I had hoped to discover a completely new fragrance with Encre Noire. Unfortunately, it reminded me of Lattafa Maahir Black. I can definitely appreciate Encre Noire for its creativity, but as a fragrance, it is ultimately not really my cup of tea.

As I am a fan of the classic version of this fragrance (Lalique Encre Noir), which I believe is best suited for gray, rainy weather, I wanted to try the lighter, "sportier" variant for sunny summer days. Unfortunately, the scent did not develop for the better after a short time and began to strongly remind me of the smell of sour pickles. The positives definitely include the very good longevity and the quite noticeable sillage. However, the downside for my personal perception is this persistent association with pickles... What a shame...

A bit of an acquired taste.. But then it smells good. I find it quite sporty.. It reminds me a bit of D. Homme sport 2008. I find the longevity average to good.. Almost 10 hours when worn on clothes. It is lightly sporty but at the same time mysterious and woody. Sillage is rather unconvincing.
