Mandarina Duck Pure Black er en søt, gourmand herreparfyme med frisk sitrusåpning som går over i en kremet blanding av tonkabønne, vanilje og myke blomster. Mange anmeldere beskriver den som en behagelig og lettbrukt duft med varm, lett krydret karakter som minner om kjente designerdufter, men til en langt lavere pris. Derfor trekkes ofte pris-verdien frem som et stort pluss. Ulempen er ytelsen: flere kilder nevner kun middels projeksjon og rundt fire til fem timers varighet, før det hovedsakelig står igjen en myk vaniljebase. Den billige følelsen i flaske og løs kork blir også ofte kritisert. Noen duftinteresserte mener dessuten at duften mangler dybde og ikke når nivået til dyrere tonka- eller vaniljedufter. For kjøpere som vil ha en rimelig, søt kveld- eller hverdagsduft og ikke krever topp ytelse, er den likevel et attraktivt valg.

Pure Black - always with me, always in the glove compartment. In my opinion, it's a perfect all-rounder that works almost anytime. The sweet opening initially reminds one of One Million, which is not necessarily a bad thing. Subsequently, the vanilla notes and tonka bean unfold more and more. The orange is also noticeable, but in my opinion, not too much. The sad part about it, however, is unfortunately the longevity. After about 3-4 hours, the scent "gives up" and you can hardly smell it anymore. All in all, I would say that the price/performance ratio is definitely right here. €30 for 100ml is more than fair.

This was a a blind buy and I got lucky; now it’s not a bad scent it’s not a great one either. Its a calm woodsy clean thing it’s not something I would reach for every day but I’d reach for it if I want something else

This stuff is an amazing gall fragrance. I would also wear it in summer. Great all around smell and lasts long and great projection.

Purchased because it's a Nathalie Lorson fragrance and anything she does is worth buying. It has a very soft vanilla smell with a warm, creamy base and a number of sweet, citrusy notes. It's more a skin scent as it doesn't project that far and longevity is fairly low. It comes across as a very clean and fresh smell with just enough sweetness to pull it all together Nothing ground breaking, it's just a pleasant fragrance.
