I visited my local John Lewis store looking for a new perfume and wanted something that wasn't too floral, fruity or feminine, but something with a classic, sophisticated edge to wear as an everyday scent for work. After sampling many of the perfumes available in store a JL partner recommended this to me and offered me a tester. After wandering around store with it for a while I knew this would be the perfect scent and I've worn it every day since. Highly recommend and would purchase again. The bottle is also very smart and looks great on my bathroom counter.

Prada "l´Homme Intense" is a sweet, almost floral fragrance with a spicy finish. It was a blind buy for me, and I am not quite convinced that this is the "masculinity" that I can or want to wear. Compared to Dior's version of l´Homme Intense, the floral note is in the foreground here... and, in my opinion, it remains so. With Dior, after a while, the spiciness from wood and ambrette takes over. Here, the spiciness is created through roasted aroma and wood, and it is always present but never really takes center stage. Therefore, my conclusion: Prada's "l´Homme Intense" is too floral for me and definitely not a "l´Homme Intense" for me.
