AKG C417 L Mini Myggmikrofon

I bought this mic looking for a budget option to my Countryman B3 lav. I think this is a great little lav mic. The sound is clean, very even, and it doesnt over excentuate the low end. The build quality is quite nice and feels rugged. AKG is generous with a very long cable. I would give it a 5 star but the case that comes with it doesnt quite fit the full sized XLR end and I have some concern that over time it may damage the connection. The tie clip that comes with it is a bit oversized and doesnt swivel. I much prefer the clip and other accessories that came with my countryman B3. One thing to be aware of if you are planning to use this mic in the field and dont have phantom power in your recorder is AKG has discontinued the budget inline and battery powered B15 phantom power supply. You are left with needing to purchase the AKG B48L with is more than twice the cost of the mic or some other 3rd party power supply.

Great sounding little mic. Tone was good. It was purchased as a request when I was shooting the president of the company that makes this. While I'm not an audio guy, it sounded good to me and we shot interviews in both a large auditorium as well as a small audio booth 10x10'.

This is a replacement for a mic that was simply worn out. The shipping was fast and the mic was as ordered. The personal contact via phone was not expected but is appreciated. Highly recommend this company for all equipment needs.
