Behringer B2031A Truth Aktiv Studio Monitor Singel

First speakers for a 3 manual virtual Pipe Organ.Hauptwerk has big demands on speakers for replication of authentic true pipe organ sound. Picks up the 32' bass very well and the high flutes also. A nice clean sound reproduction. I was surprised at how heavy they are so I will need to get a couple of stands for them. .

These are really handy self-powered speakers and they have held up really well. I have a pair of Mackies in my studio, and decided to try these out for live monitoring of my keyboard rig. They are the answer to achieving a really happy experience live. The problem with keyboard amps that I've always dealt with just by gritting my teeth, is that they sound ok for some of the grungier keyboards, clav, some rhodes etc., for the more hi-fi acoustic instruments, like for acoustic piano, strings, brass, etc. they sound honky and unpleasant. The powered PA speakers are pricey, so I just screwed a couple handles on these monitors and carry them to my gigs, they have been great. They have never failed and sound terrific. Just like my keyboards sound in my studio. So I highly recommend them for this use as well as in the home studio. Thanks, Brian

Using these for a home recording studio. There are much higher priced powered monitors, but for the money you won't find anything better. Sound is extremely flat and clear, very crisp. The room I use them in is approx 20x20, and are more power than I need. I highly recommend these.

i don't know how useful this review will be to many who read this, as i don't mix music. i use the Truth's for listening to music i download onto my computer. these speakers do get loud. the bass is solid if not slightly muddy. i listen to a lot of 70's fusion, and Prog Rock, and the experience is overall very enjoyable. the speakers tend to get a little bright at elevated listening levels, but i am sure that can be adjusted out. not enough of an issue for me to fiddle with right now. another little niggle is that there is RF noise filtering through. more than likely because i opted for cheap audio chords, and the speakers are on my desk right now very close to my computer monitor. it's likely a quick fix will be to purchase quality cords and put the speakers on stands away from my monitor.
