Awesome little device, just what I was looking for. Big clear display. And you dont need to buy the smart hub despite what reviews say. The only advantage to that is you can see the temp from wherever you are. Not needed for me. I recommend this .

just what I was looking for, awesome little device to tell temperature and humidity in my house. Great size and the display screen is crystal clear. I was reading the reviews and you don't need a smart hub. full stop. if all you want to do, like I wanted, is to know the temperature and humidity, in my bedroom or lounge then just get this and you can see on the display of the device, the information you want. the only benefit with getting a smart hub is you can look at the temperature from your work or when your out at dinner. no benefit for myself. so it works perfect without the smart hub. would recommend this little device.

This is a very simple device that connects to your (required) Tapo hub with a minimum of fuss. Small with a clear display. Runs on 2 x AAA batteries, which can be changed by taking off the back panel (note this when considering placement via the included 3M strips.) It integrates with Google Home via the usual permission sharing method. Note that this isn't a Matter-enabled device, and it exposes humidity and battery charge only to Google Home automation; temperature is visible in the Google Home dashboard, but is unavailable as a trigger for automating other devices, (which seems like an odd design choice) and may limit its usefulness for things like heater/heat pump/fan automation.
