It does what it is supposed to do; it makes a good brew. I like the fact that it beeps when the coffee is done. What I like less is that the pot often drips when you poor in the coffee and when you close the filter holder, make sure the filter doesn’t fold when closing it…happened a few times. But overall; good value for money.

I ordered this filter coffee. Machine as it was exactly the same as the one we had and were very pleased with it as it is very simple to use And makes good coffee, we had had our old one for a number of years with no problems at all until it stopped working I was pleased to see they still made this model, the only difference is there is a beep when you turn it on now and a longer beep when the coffee is ready which is really quickly, It arrived very quickly as well and was really well packed. Very pleased with our purchase

Ah, just like an old friend. I had one of these machines for years but, sadly, it died one morning. I've tried several others but they just aren't as good. This is so easy to use and to clean. The only thing is we have been dictated by the EU that our mew machines can only be left on for 40 minutes then they turn off automatically. I always [with my old one] could have my husband turn it on when I got up, do what I had to do in the bathroom and get dressed then get my first coffee and take it to the bedroom whilst I made the bed and styled my hair then I could go back to the kitchen and get my breakfast and my second coffee. Now we try to time it so it's ready for my 1st drink, then turn the machine off and on again to keep it hot for my 2nd, that kept the machine on for about an hour and my coffee is really tasty, but what a palaver. Still, I'd rather have this machine than any of the others.

The machine arrived and I put two full tanks through blank before adding coffee and hitting the 'go' button. Result - a wonderful aroma followed by a super cup of coffee. Bought this model on Which's recommendation and haven't been disappointed. Cleaning the water tank can be a bit tricky and a bottle brush is advisable. love the fact that the jug has a measuring scale on it by cup, and corresponds accurately to the water tank measure. Coffee ready in good time and the hotplate keeps it hot, not warm like many others. Hotplate switches off after a while so only make what you can get through in about 40 minutes.

When the water goes through, the filter folds and then there are coffee beans that go to the pot, unfiltered. The only way to prevent this from happening is to put a double filter. I have tried both small and larger filters.
