I probably paid too much for this thing because its an OEM Canon item, but I hate cheap off brand stuff, because Im sort of a snob.

I just recently bought the 50mm 1.4 and wanted to be able to protect my lens. Im glad that Canon makes this. I havent shot with a fifty in quite awhile and Im looking forward to using it more extensively.
