I'm only an amateur but I wanted to get myself a proper macro lens and after many hours of research I decided on this one. The 2x magnification makes capturing tiny detail a breeze, and it can also focus to infinity so I have also used it for everyday pictures. Images are sharp and full of detail, definitely made the right choice I think. The lens is fully manual but the focus ring is smooth and easy to operate. It's a good weight but not so much as to be cumbersome, I've managed a full day of use with handheld only and had no issues, the included UV filter is a good bonus too. Delivery was fast and arrived well packaged.

I have only had the lens a short time but my first impressions are very favourable. The build quality is lovely with precise focusing. The working distance is good which worked well in my first attempts at photographing spiders. The extra magnification beats the opposition hands down. All in all an excellent addition to my kit bag and I am looking forward to exploring the hidden world of close up invertebrates.

Excellent macro lens at a great price. Images are VERY sharp. I have the Canon EF version with auto aperture. Makes focusing easier with lens wide open. I would highly recommend to anyone who wants to go close.
