So far this lens is giving me what I want as far as coverage and image quality, as long as the camera is level and upright , the images are surprisingly straight and accurate, needs careful setup.

Real ZD Zero Distortion from a solid construction with amazing quality lens. Fits perfect in my A7R II and III. Worth any dollar i invest in it.

Great ultra wide for the money. Lack of autofocus/auto aperture is no problem with a lens this wide!

With a heavy volume of real estate photography and video, I purchased this lens for my Canon 1DXMKII. A 12mm lens should never be used for real estate photography, however the 1DX crops the censor by a 1.3 factor when shooting 4K video, making this lens the equivalent of a 16mm lens, which is perfect for straight vertical lines of structure. It is good to have a distortion free lens, but 4K video crops out of the center and there is no concern with distortion. Just love this lens and the heavy metal construction. I just set the lens to focus at 10 feet, and within a room everything is in focus. I had been using a Canon 80D with a 10-18 f5.6 lens which is a nice little camera for video, but the ability to shoot at f2.8 to 4 gives me superb evening results without blowing out windows and tack sharp smooth video. Again just a great lens for the money.

I primarily shoot real estate and purchased this lens to shoot 4K video with my Canon 1DXMKII. Although one should never use a 12mm lens for real estate with a full frame censor, shooting 4K video uses a 1.3 crop factor. The crop factor gives me the equivalent of a 16mm lens which is just below the 17mm recommended for nice undistorted interior photography. I now have the choice to use my Canon 16-35mm f 2.8 lens in 1080p or the 12mm f 2.8 in 4K. Being used to shooting with manual lenses, I manually set the focus for 12 feet in shutter priority mode 1/125, and adjust the f-stop and ISO to the light conditions. Just a perfect 4K companion lens for the 1DXMKII...and sharp as a tack. There is no distortion for me to worry about since I am cropping out censor anyway.
