Great lens small compact and capable . less obtrusive due to smaller size when shooting urban shots. great looking pictures,

Simple and quality of construction with good composite material, gives look to lenses of the past, the look is very pleasing and with the sharpness of today and depth of field so easy to adjust, differential focus, now called Bokeh, easily adjusted too, a fun lens for a fun camera. 40 mm works well in street and in museums, and so small it does not impose, give it a try, compares well to my pro Nikon and Omd lenses, for the price it is a wonderful, well made lens super focus, and a joy to use.

A good carry around lens, lightweight and good for low light use

I like this little lens on my Z6iii. It is light and compact for walking about the local woods and it takes great images and is just a lot of fun. Not quite the same level of detail wide open as the three-times-the-cost Z 35 1.8S but I'm finding the images to be terrific. Small point though.... I returned this model as I did not like the rough / course feel from the surface finish on the lens barrel and swapped it for the SE model (which is beautifully finished). Also added a 52mm filter plus screw on lens hood which is a perfect. Very happy with this setup and I still have my Z 24-120 4 for more detailed landscape work etc.
