Manfrotto Befree Advanced Twist Lock Stativ

A straight forward design that is convenient, spacious with dimensions that suit my budget airline travel. Well made providing suitable access to and protection for my kit. General usage inc weddings, social events and travel.

I brought this for a trip abroad, where weight will be a premium, and after research decided it was probably the most robust of the group. Firstly, I'm not sure how well it will stand up to winds, as to get any usable height (if you are around 6' or taller), you need to have the centre column extended. I guess this is to be expected on a travel tripod. The major gripe is the head, its not Swiss Arca compatible, but one of Manfrotto's own type plates, So if (like me) you use an L bracket, it will also have to be replaced.

First tripod upgrade after using a 30+ year old tripod. Pleasantly surprised by the build quality and feature set! I would 100% recommend if looking for a versatile tripod. It collapses to a compact size, small enough that i can even attach it to the bottom of my sling! The camo colour is nice in real life.

A great medium size camera bag. Excellent quality.

I was after a bag that was small enough for hand luggage in internal flights abroad but suitable for carrying camera, lenses and laptop. This fitted the bill perfectly and has been ideal on a safari.
