Review written after two months of light use. So far I've enjoyed this tripod, no complaints! Legs extend easily, its stable even when fully expanded, the leg locks are just right in stiffness, the lift able stem is nice for the extra height (can get eye level even at 6' 4"). The rubber grips on the legs are a nice touch in the cold, makes me wish the third leg had it too. Kind of wish it could get lower with a video head, but with a ball heads and the stem set horizontal you'll get very low. All knobs tighten well and are appropriately stiff. I paid $250 due to a sale, and am quite happy with it for that price.

Purchased in June. I was setting up for an astrophotography shoot that took considerable time, energy and planning. Setting up the tripod in the dark in a field and a LEG FELL OFF. Fortunately no gear was attached. Even so, the shoot could not proceed. The allen key need to tighten the leg clamps is not a standard one. I chose Manfrotto because I assumed the name and expense meant quality. I had seen other reviewers mention this same problem; I should have paid more attention. DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT.

Love all the fit, finish and features! Replaced a 055CL tripod that is about 8 years old and and am super happy with it. Used for video work with my Canon C100 and its perfect.

The tripod arrived in excellent condition and while I have not had an opportunity to use it yet, I have set it up and mounted a gimbal head and camera with a 200-500 telephoto lense and am very satisfied.
