This is the 'updated' version of the H2O binoculars. If you can get the previous generation, they are a much better product. The new version makes it difficult to get your eyes the correct distance from the lens, you keep on seeing black circles around the edges. We have two of the previous version and two of the new version; if I could return the new ones I would.

Good quality feel Binoculars. Bought it to use on safari. Comfortable ergonomic design, well-built, clear optics and good magnification. 4 stars only because of the focus - although it was smooth and precise, it does shake alot which makes me want attach it to a stand however there is no connection for that available.

Well priced for a premium product. The first pair was received damaged but quickly replaced.

Shape takes getting used to. If you have your eyes too close to the eye cups then there are black shapes that you see in the binoculars. But sharp picture

The image quality is good for this price level, in most conditions giving a clear bright image. I was a bit unfortunate in trying them for the first time in having a high contrast image of a starling with a white sky behind it, which showed up the obvious colour fringing around the edges of the bird but have decided to keep them as in other conditions they are more than acceptable. I only want them for casual use, if I were a serious bird watcher I suspect I would want to pay more and get better performance. They are quite heavy but this doesn't cause a problem in use really. And it is easy to use them with glasses on if you keep the eyecups screwed down as the eye relief is sufficient. All in all I would recommend them as a very good budget price binocular.
