Detective Pikachu Returns gir en sjarmerende og humoristisk opplevelse, spesielt takket være Pikachu. Spillet er svært tilgjengelig og passer godt for yngre spillere eller Pokémon-fans. Du kan møte mange forskjellige Pokémon og utforske Ryme City, noe som gjør spillet levende. Spillopplevelsen er imidlertid veldig enkel og mangler utfordring for erfarne spillere. Det er mye repetisjon og man må ofte gå tilbake til tidligere steder. Grafikken er middels og de menneskelige figurene er mindre interessante. For de som ønsker et avslappet, barnevennlig detektivspill i Pokémon-verdenen, er dette et godt valg, men hvis du ønsker mer dybde eller utfordring, bør du se etter noe annet.

I was reluctant to order this online, because I wanted it in its original box, and I knew ordering it would be a gamble. I was assured by an employee in-store that it would come in its original box, so I did order it, but it came in no box at all. Ended up refunding it. Very disappointing.

It’s a fun and simple game for those of us who aren’t the best at video games but also fun for those who want a “vacation” from tougher games.

This is a really cute game with a neat storyline. The gameplay isn't confusing, though it can be a little difficult at first to figure out what the game wants you to do. Thankfully, Pikachu has hints.
