I was hoping for cable routing internal to the center pole, but the solution given is very easy to use and still looks quite clean.

These adapter kits only work on the newer model displays. Check to see what you need before you buy. I did. Also note that you get 2 different sizes of bumpers with the kit. I had to use the smaller size in order for the side screws to fit. You'll see.
