Reasonably solid and feet hold it firmly in place, used it for 12 months. Blade OK but adjustment for thickness is crude. Two cons....1. Very noisy. 2. Guide rail is held by 2 screws and works loose making the slide action dodgy. can easily be tightened but the 2 small plastic inserts holding the screws quickly wear. I replaced mine with 2 pieces of wood.
