Fellowes Powershred 53c 230v Makuleringsmaskin

This device makes an infernal noise in normal operation: unbearable! This is the first time I'm not satisfied with a device bought from LDLC!

I wanted to replace an old shredder that I had had for more than 10 years, which shredded in confetti style, but which over time no longer stopped shredding leaves and which blocked after 4 leaves. So I chose this model, with hesitation, which seemed correct. I've been using it for a while now, but I'm not sure if it's a good idea to use it for a long time. I have to experiment a bit more! but very good product, very first time! The product is easy to use!

Excellent shredder. Far better than my previous two (one a smaller cheaper Fellowes and one a different manufacturer). Very quiet and noticeably too. Product feels good sound quality, not flimsy at all. Right size for my home office needs. The carry/lift off handle for the top cutter mechanism is a great plus. I am looking forward to a long & happy few years with this model as the solid build fills me with a lot of confidence.

Good build quality, with large capacity bin (for a home/small office machine), which was an important criterion for me. Top part is very heavy. Machine is quite noisy and sounds clunky when in use - but this is my first cross shredder so they may all be noisier than a strip shredder. Handle lifts the shredder head only, not the whole bin. Useful window so you can see when it is getting full. Too soon to say whether I would recommend.
