The Philips Hue Go portable lamp is a beautifully designed, compact table lamp. And as if that’s not enough, it can be removed from the base and used just about anywhere. It offers plenty of power, a good range of colour options and works both through a bridge or directly via Bluetooth with the Hue app.

I bought this to illuminate a glass coffee table. It does this very well with a range of colours at different levels. However, the battery only lasts around 4 hours at 50% power output. Also, it is impossible to tell how much charge is left in the battery during use and during charging. If the battery lasted 40 hours at a medium setting and the charge could be viewed on a tablet or smartphone, it would earn 5 stars from me.

Simple to set up and adjust to my needs, works where I want it, can contrl via Hue hub.
