I am a M4/3 shooter and this tripod is more than adequate for anything that I am likely to mount on it. I opted for aluminum over carbon fibre as I am a big strong dude so the extra weight wont be an issue. I paired it with the Sirui K30 ball head and the combination is very stable. The only issue I have is that when I use the converted monopod with the K30 head, its quite cumbersome but thats my fault for not thinking that through!

I am over 6 feet tall and have a difficult time stooping down to use a typical tripod. I enjoy nature, scenery and night sky photography. The extended height of this tripod has and will provide me with comfortable working usage. With a gimbal I can actually shoot nearly straight up without getting myself into an uncomfortable position using my veiwfinder. It is also sturdy enough that I can trust my 600mm lens and full size camera atop of it even on windy days.

I like the W-2004 for occasional water use. I first purchased the W-1004, thinking it would be sturdy enough for my needs. It wasn't. I returned it an bought the W-2004. If you use any lens that mounts directly to the tripod head, go with this heavier tripod. I usually use one of several Gitzo tripods that I own. All of them are sturdier than the Sirui, but they are not designed to be used in water. I like that the Sirui will convert to a monopod when I need that. This tripod was a good addition for me.

The Sirui W-2004, waterproof, aluminum alloy tripod is of better quality & functions than I expected it to be, I attached a Sirui K-IOX ball head onto this w-2004 tripod. Along with using a Nikon D300S camera & multiple Nikon lens. No creeping & adjustments are made quickly & easily. The tool kit & accessories that were included are also of good quality.

Very sturdy seems well built and my initial impressions of it are very good. I would definitely buy this again.
