As someone who has always wanted to play the guitar but found the instrument too big to transport and too big for my hands, this is perfect!

My advice is to approach this cracking little instrument in its own right. Let it be somewhere in between an acoustic/classical/ukelele but non of them nor all of them. It just is—a guitalele. Keep it tuned to 'A' (capo on 5 equivalent) and enjoy the unique sounds it generates. I keep mine by my desk to noodle on. I've written a few songs with it (every instrument has its own songs ready to come out). I wasn't aiming for it to teach me about the guitar below fret 5 but it's doing that too. Get one, it'll pay you back in bucket loads.

Great instrument to play anywhere. Lovely sound, great intonation. Perfect gift for ukelele player wanting more tonal range and guitar player wanting a portable alternative.
