We have the model WK200 which is no longer made, but Braun has also dropped replacement parts support. So when the filter screen breaks, and it will, you can forget replacing it.

If you are buying in the US, Be careful it came with a European plug and I had to buy an adapter. It took longer than 45 seconds to heat up and honestly it can take up to 30 minutes to turn itself off. it will boil in a couple minutes but it won't rise as high as it needs to to turn off the switch. All of these issues are probably due to the adapter and volt differences but it still works well and we have no plans to return it. We just use the water once it has boiled without waiting for it to turn itself off.

This is junk. Did not turn off automatically. Seemed to be a European version as it came with an adaptor. Took too long to heat up. Gave it away already.

This is a quality kettle from Braun. Boils fast, not too loud, no plastic taste, pours well, and it looks good. The reason for two stars is one important flaw - it took up to 30 seconds to switch off after reaching boiling point. I returned it and had good service from the seller Digital2U, who confirmed the fault with a test and gave me a full refund.
